Peshawar "The land of Hospitality"

Peshawar (also known as) pekhawar' is the capital of khyber pukhtunkhwa. Peshawar is situated at the gateway to the famous Khyber Pass in the khyber pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan. Qissa khawani bazaar:

Extending from west to east in the heart of the city is the romantic 'street of storytellers' the Qissa khawani bazaar. In olden days, this was the site of comping ground for caravans and military advantures,  where professional storytellers recited ballads and tales of war and love to throngs of traders and soldiers. Today the storytellers are gone but the atmosphere lingers on. Bearded tribesmen bargain with city traders over endless cup of green tea. People from everywhere throng the crowded street. Afghans, Iraqis, Tajiks, Afridis, and shinwaris move around with ease and grace in their colourful native robes and run shoulders with the western tourrist-lost in a world so different, so enchanting.

There are many brass and copper shops at the end of qissa khawani bazaar. Which sell a range of new and old wares. The famous peshawar pottery shops are immediately after the brass shops, where one can find a huge collection of ornamental and utilitarian pottery glazed in strong earth colours. 

peshawari qehwa: 

The popularity of Qehwa (green tea) in peshawar and its adjoining region is because people of the area like eating a spicy meal including meat and green tea helps in digestion. Presently qehwa is regularly used in peshawar due to which the people living in other parts of pakistan call it the peshawari qehwa.

                                              

It is so popular among the people of Peshawar that hundreds of Qehwa khanas or traditional teashops can be found in the different bazaars of Peshawar where people like to spend their leisure time sipping cups of green tea.
